Wyndham City Council delegates, supported by ASU organizers, negotiated an agreement that sets a new benchmark within the Victorian City Council. The ANMF has successfully negotiated with several local employers to withdraw its proposals for wage freezes, renewal agreements or delays in negotiations. These include Wyndham City Council, Moira County Council and Banyule City Council. The agreement, which is expected to be voted on in the coming weeks, states that trade agreements can be adapted to the needs of certain companies. An agreement should be better for an employee as a whole compared to the corresponding bonuses or rewards. Company agreements are collective agreements between employers and employees on terms and conditions of employment. The Fair Work Commission can provide information on the process of drafting company agreements, evaluate and approve agreements. Now that we have reached an agreement in principle, the Council is currently preparing for the voting phase, of which you will soon know more, and if you are asked to vote, we recommend that the staff vote in favour. These meetings were intended to discuss a 12-month extension of your current company agreement and a salary increase, as all parties felt this was the best way to proceed due to the ever-changing environment with the COVID-19 pandemic. The ANMF (Vic Branch) continues to represent maternal and child nurses and vaccination nurses in negotiations with a number of local government councils seeking to freeze wages, delay negotiations on company agreements or shake up agreements, citing the impact of COVID-19. Casey City Council is asking for a 12-month extension of the current agreement with a 1% wage increase.
A company agreement is distributed for one vote – unions recommend that members vote against the agreement. Wyndham City Council will pay the 2.1% increase in July 2020, as outlined in the current corporate agreement. Start with our document search and try searching for full-text agreements. Wyndham City Council, which employs 40.3 EFT nurses, initially tried to freeze wages, but under pressure from unions, the council agreed to withdraw the proposal and pay the 2.1 percent increase in July 2020, as outlined in the current trade deal. After major negotiations, two failed EBA votes and a wage dispute between the Fair Work Commission and Hobsons Bay City Council, the ANMF plans to resume negotiations with the council in early July. As a step back from increasingly flippant communities, the agreement includes a process of working with less random employees at Wyndham. Yarra City employees voted to accept a rollover contract until July 21, 2021 with a salary increase of 1.25% or $25 per week, whichever is greater, starting with the first payment period beginning September 1, 2020. The ANMF and other unions are also at odds with Melbourne City Council after the city council rejected its wage offer accepted in principle by the unions in March 2020. The city council withdrew an offer to increase his salary by 6.25% over three years and is now proposing a 3% increase in surtaxes of 1.5% in 2022 and 2023. ANMF members have not received a salary increase since July 1, 2018, and the board`s revised salary offer means a three-year wage freeze. After rejecting management`s initial offer, the ASU bargaining team negotiated an asU-calculated agreement that allows workers to increase by about 10% in three years without reducing existing conditions.
We can now confirm that we have been able to reach an agreement with the Commission on a 12-month extension and a salary increase of 25 or 1.25%, whichever is higher, whichever is higher in the first payment period in September 2020. The company agreement describes the rights, remuneration and terms and conditions of employment of employees.
