Boyarsky Murphy Architects have a reputation for innovative and inspiring design within a wide and international portfolio. Our projects range from individual houses to off-the-grid eco-communities, from sensitive sites and historic buildings to exhibition design, cultural and educational buildings, and from multi-story towers to master plans.
We develop each project from first principles. Our building tools are the sensuous nature of materials, the power of space, the challenges of technology and the magic of light.
We craft environments that are friendly, efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Our projects develop from extensive research into context, site and brief – this groundwork ensures we create unique and inspiring environments.

how we work
Formed in 1994 by Nicholas Boyarsky and Nicola Murphy, the London based practice creates high quality architecture and interior design in the UK and internationally. Boyarsky Murphy Architects are a Chartered RIBA Practice and we offer the full range of architect’s services.
Residential and commercial projects of any scale are developed by considering the existing building or site, understanding the client’s needs and the functionality of the space. Each brief produces a strategy with a specific design vision. Then the unique language, skills and experience of the practice come into play to create and detail every aspect of the scheme. The result is finely crafted beautiful modern architecture. Sustainability is always considered.
The office has extensive experience with listed buildings and gain planning consent even on the most sensitive sites. Both partners are actively involved with each project.
