Walls made of local stone enclose spaces, channel movement and take on roles through the cemetery and parkland. The walls assume secondary functions such as as a path, a low wall, seating, a pedestal for a memorial plaque and to form a columbarium or enclosed garden. The ceremonial building is situated in the site and enclosed by its stone elevations.
