‘The stretch of rail track that runs between Camden Road to St Pancras way and then east onto Kings Cross is one of the least lovely in London. Much of it is dilapidated and windswept, with poorly planned roads, bleak railway structures, and abandoned regeneration which only deepen the sense of neglect. Dated advertising does little to enhance the city scape.Into this urban and vehicular wasteland Boyarsky Murphy Architects propose a ribbon of 150 new allotment plots. Like agricultural terraces cut into a rural hillside, the new allotments provide both a visual greening of a bleak urban site as well as a fresh horticultural produce for local residents.’ AJ Forgotten Spaces
